Harvesting Health and Happiness

February 2024 Wellness Happenings!

Leaping into February!

What? A leap year? Yes, this is a leap year! February is also American Heart Month, so why not focus on keeping our tickers in top shape? Let's make the most of it by taking a leap towards heart health. February is the perfect time to show our hearts some love – both the one on our sleeves and the one inside us. Whether it's enjoying heart-healthy meals, going for a walk, or trying a new exercise routine, let's prioritize our cardiovascular wellness. Small steps can make a big difference, so let's use this extra day to leap into a healthier, happier version of ourselves!

February is also a time for celebrating black history. Otis Boykin, a black inventor, should be celebrated for his work with the lifesaving pacemaker device. A pacemaker is a medical device that detects and regulates your heartbeat and supports approx. 3 million Americans. Mr. Boykin's invented a control unit which greatly improved the workings of the device. Thank you, Otis Boykin, for your ingenuity and hard work that continues to improve lives today!

Here's to leaping into a February full of health, happiness, and gratitude!

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world."
